Extend
Extend grows the image past its original edges, generating new pixels that match the existing scene. Use it to convert square shots to banners, or to add headroom for typography.
Run it#

Open /app/modify and pick Extend.

Upload your image.

Pick the target ratio. 16:9, 9:16, 4:3, or custom.

Position the original. Drag to control where the existing image sits inside the new frame.

Run. Colabz generates the new pixels and blends seamlessly.
Common use cases#
- Square product shot, need a 16:9 banner. Extend left and right.
- Tight crop, need negative space for a headline. Extend up.
- Hero image needs to work at 9:16 for Stories. Extend top and bottom.
Tip: Extend works best at moderate ratios. Stretching a tiny crop into a billboard rarely looks right. Reshoot or regenerate at the target ratio when the stretch is huge.
